Riley Park - Little Mountain

 
This neighbourhood is Vancouver's highest point, and Riley Park-Little Mountain is located between Cambie Street and Fraser Street, from 16th and 41st Avenues. Since it straddles Main Street, part of the neighbourhood is considered in Vancouver's Eastside and part is considered Westside. The community is also close to Vancouver General Hospital and BC Children's Hospital.

Homes
The neighbourhood is made up of mainly single-family houses with some duplexes and 4-story apartments.

Shopping
Along Cambie Street are a number of health/organic food shops with some large organic markets. This stretch of Main Street is known as "antiques row", and is a popular shopping destination on the weekends. Main Street also has several affordable & delicious restaurants and some trendy chic cafes, some with live music at night.

Recreation
This community has two major parks: Queen Elizabeth Park and adjoining Riley Park. Queen Elizabeth Park is on top of Little Mountain which is an extinct volcano which has been landscaped into a beautiful garden popular for wedding and graduation photos. Queen Elizabeth Park is home to a Conservatory, Pitch & Putt, lawn bowling, curling club, swimming pool and Nat Bailey Stadium. Riley Park has a community centre, an ice arena and an indoor pool.

Schools
These neighbourhoods are served by seven Elementary Schools (including a French language one), a public library, and three Secondary Schools, The neighbourhood is close to Langara College to the south while the East Broadway area is full of post-secondary institutions including BCIT's Great Northern Way campus and Vancouver Community College's King Edward campus.
