Coal Harbour
Coal Harbour is mainly a residential and quiet entertainment area that offers great views of the North Shore Mountains, Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge. The Seawall that connects Coal Harbour to the Stanley Park gives residents easy access to the parks well known running and bike trails. With its close proximity to Stanley Park, Denman Street, Robson Street and Vancouver's financial core, Coal Harbour is quickly developing into one of Vancouver's most preferred upscale neighborhoods.
The neighbourhood is bounded to the southeast by Burrard Street, to the southwest by West Georgia and Hastings Streets, and to the northwest by Stanley Park. The northwestern section features parkland, private marinas, and several rowing and boating clubs. Towards the Financial District in the southeast, and across Georgia Street, the neighbourhood is dominated by high-rise office and apartment buildings. The six floating homes in Coal Harbour, along with the twelve in False Creek are the only legal floating homes in the city of Vancouver.
